Problem

Kaiser is the United States largest nonprofit integrated healthcare plan, serving over 8.6 million patients from 35 hospitals and 431 medical facilities. The company introduced the new “Added Choice” Medicare program for employees. Kaiser partnered with MG Studios to develop a strategy to gain attention about the program’s enrollment benefits. By this time Kaiser began to implement their new “Thrive” campaign on television and magazine advertisements. Knowing this, we ensured the company that “thriving for a better life” would become the primary message.

Solution

Together, we developed an informative packet for Kaiser’s employees. The “Thrive” brand integrated nicely with the new Medicare program, yet took on a story of its own. Nestled inside a resealable envelop, the brochure, enrollment form, button, pen, and mailing cards had a simple, yet clever design.

Impression

After launch, Kaiser expanded the program into posters, banners and other internal marketing pieces. As a result, approximately 20% of Kaiser employees registered with the Medicare program during the first year.
